Mountain View citizens tend to be active and involved in the many organizations and
activities of this Ozark Mountain community. Folks who relocate here 'from off'
find that the residents are quick to welcome and encourage them to become active
in the community. Churches of almost every
denomination can be found throughout Stone County and area residents are eager
to welcome both visitors and new members to their congregations. This is a friendly
community and perfect for all ages, from seniors to singles to families with
children.
The public school system consists of one school
district with three campuses located in Stone County and plays an important
role in the growth of this community. Ozarka College is a two-year public post-secondary
institution associate, offering level degrees as well as basic adult education
and workplace skills training. Many non-credit continuing education and personal
enrichment courses are available.
An entire medical community is dedicated
to meeting the healthcare needs of the residents and visitors of Stone County
and the surrounding area. This medical community includes numerous physicians
and dentists, ambulance service, pharmacies and Stone County Medical Center Hospital. The
Medical Center has undergone an extensive addition and remodeling project in
2006. Several
agencies offer home health care in Stone County.
